For those who have moved sites to this testing environment . . .

How is this working out for you?

My sites ran alot faster. The only issue is the login for WordPress stalls and takes about a minute or two to actually load. I need to find a PHP expert to figure out why. To me, a program written in PHP should be able to run the same on all platforms, sadly its not the case for WordPress.

My sites weren't available last night - not sure why. Since then my sites have slowed a bit, especially when initially pulling up the sites. Hopefully this will get fast again as the day progresses. It could just be my connection but I was just wondering how this was going for others.

I think its really great that HostingFest is going out of its way to try and get our PHP apps to run smoother. Thank you guys.

Man

Not many people have opted for it so you may not receive any reply.

Anyway what about the speed degradation now?

Its mostly when you first surf to the web sites. Once you are in its seems to speed back up.

But to just pull up a browser and type the URL in, that is when it slows a little. Once it hits the site, its all good. The admin section isn't as fast as the frontend but its not too bad either.

I made a post on wordpress.org to see if any PHP guys that use WordPress had any insight on how to get the login to load faster as well. No replies yet.

ok, whatever you tweaked seems to be making progress. It seems a little quicker loading the page for the first time. We still need to figure out what is making the login take so long.

Initital page loading has slowed again. Once the page loads, its speedy. But like before its a little slow when you pull up a browser and type the url in.
