I understand, and its totally cool. The RVSkin is pretty cool by the by. Go for Cpanel. At this point I am more anxious to the server up so I can start installing WP on my future Linux account. Did you see they released WordPress 2.0.1 with some fixes. Edited by user Thursday, February 2, 2006 4:32:05 AM(UTC)

I agree that cPanel is the CP widely used and its rare that others CPs are used on Linux.
But this is basically because cPanel is just the best and most stable CP for Linux - it is giving you no headache. If you have a problem with Fantastico, I think there is another product called Installatron. There are a bunch of other CPs out there like DirectAdmin, Webmin, etc. that are good but not very user-friendly. The only CP that I maybe would consider for Linux is PLESK which looks nice but still is not coming close to cPanel.
I also don't like to go with the flow and just use cPanel because everybody else is using it but what you could do to make at least a little bit of a difference is to alter the cPanel Skin. Besides RVSkin (also widely used) there would be cPanelXP available which gives cPanel almost a PLESK look. Never used it but it seems cool. I actually wonder if you could use RVSkin and cPanelXP together on one box.
Maybe I am just used to it, but I just think that no other CP can beat cPanel on Linux box.

WHM / CPanel / Fantastico combination would be good enough.. CentOS or RHL for the O/S.. This is just my opinion.

We will be rolling out the server in the next 36 hours.
It will have.
CentOS as the O/S. Cpanel/WHM as Control Panel. Fantastico CpanelXP Skin.

Excellent Nasir. Great Choice with Cpanel XP - it is a slick skin. It might make Cpanel tolerable. :)
So when the server goes up, when are you going to start taking orders to setup accounts on the server?

Hi, I promised to pick an account on the linux server and I'm looking at your Linux Reseller offering, Can you clarify How many dedicated IPs are there in the reseller a/c say 2GB plan? Also, the Industry norm for DiskSpace/BW is 1:1.5 ..... For reference see http://www.site5.com/resellers/

Dedicated IP's are not available for free and are not included in the base offer. The price is $2/IP extra. BTW there is no set industry standard on this we can argue on what is more logical and i can see the logic in your idea. I will give it some time to roam around in my head :)

I just saw the CpanelXP Theme. :(
It's noway near RevSkin in appearance or functionality. The standard x2 is way better than this.
But then everyone has different likes & dislikes.....
